Nope, no one is behind any elevator (what a picture). I just want to share a trivia (and a fact) about the elevator.
Have I mentioned that I once worked for a company located in the DPC Building (back then was on the 12th floor). The building was 16 floors high with a mezzanine/car park.
I was there for a little more than a year, riding the elevator up and down and up and down… What I notice from all that elevator ride was one word standing out – OTIS.
Yep, Mr. OTIS is the one responsible for the technology of elevator we use today.
Primitive elevators were in use as early as the 3rd century BC, operated by human, animal, or water wheel power….In 1853, American inventor Elisha Otis demonstrated a freight elevator equipped with a safety device to prevent falling in case a supporting cable should break.
