The Radioactive Iodine (RAI) Treatment Day

This is the reason why the drawing of the Pinoy bands contest was late and I wasn’t able to attend our company’s Christmas party (that’s tonight btw, while I’m here at home composing this post). I suppose to play bass for the Outage band (video from Yutube)… Oh well.

Series of Events

Since I’m watching 24 Season 1 DVD (bought it on ebay btw using blog money), I’m going to do this Jack Bauer style “Secure the perimeter!” :

3:30AM – “Woke up. Got out of bed. Drag a comb across my head.” … (Paul didn’t took a bath?!)

4:30AM – Commute. Bus to MRT Station

6:00AM – North Avenue MRT Station to Taft Avenue Station

6:30AM – Taft Ave./EDSA LRT Station to U.N. Avenue LRT Station

My scheduled appointment was 7:30am and I was at the hospital lobby before 7:00am… Personally, Filipino Time Is On Time!

(Dude’s Don Norberto 1908 – 1980. Don’t know who he is)

Dr. Jerry Obaldo, he’s been the Vice President of the Asian Pacific Society of Nuclear Cardiology, sent me an SMS letting me know that’s he’s already arrived and I should stop taking pictures of some dead man’s portrait – 7:47am

With some more precautions, he gave me the pill (it’s a capsule actually) encapsulated in a cylinder-like cannister at least 2 inches thick in a faily lit room with emergency light. As soon as I took it, he asked to drink 500ml of water and he sent me out/home.

Anyway, don’t want to bore you with all the details.. But if you do want to know it, it’s either in A Day In A Life blog or the Everything Daddy one.
