Not everyone know this (coz I didn’t know it) but when you leave a comment on a WordPress blog, there is this “no follow†option automatically inserted to the anchor tag, <a>, so that the link is NOT spidered (followed) by search engines to be included in their databases of websites…
In case you don’t know, to increase a site or blogs’ (Google) Page Ranks (PR) , a number of blogs must be linked to yours (acting like a vote). The higher their PR, the better. If you comment to someone’s blog and if they disable the “no follow” option, you’ll get a valid link back to your site (assuming your comment was approved). But by default, “no follow” is enabled, so no point/vote for you buddy! :-)
This is where the “do-follow” plugin come in. When installed and enabled it will take take the “no follow” thingy from your blog’s <a> tag. This will, hopefully, make your readers comment on your post if they have anything to say. Why? Coz its a valid link back to their site! No need to give them advertising pens to promote your blog.
Get it? If you didn’t you can go and check out Selaplana’s explanation. It’s way much better.
And good news to those who’ll stumble to this blog… mine has that plugin installed… Try and test it. If you’re interested you can get the plugin here.
