Religious Tattoos

I was born a Catholic and raised a Catholic. Though I’m not that active anymore in religion and being a Catholic and all that, but I am raised to be a God-fearing individual.Elizar Bible

I know the bible. Not in a way that you could challenge me in a debate or give you a verse from the top of my head or expect me that I memorize the whole thing that I can read to you a verse from it just like that. No, not that kind knowing.

I read for pleasure. I read for the stories. I read for the values.

Which brings us to the topic of the post. Tattoos. Ever since I was a little boy, I know that the bible really prohibits tattoos or having a tattoo. Search it a while at found in the book of Leviticus “You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any markings upon you”. 19:28… (looks like piercing is prohibited too, huh?)
Now, here’s something we can debate on. If all the teaching of the Bible prohibits the piercing and the tattoos, will the religious tattoos be acceptable. And besides, that’s in the old testament (some may say)… Well?
