Rhinoplasty, the surgery to reshape the nose, is one of the most common of all plastic surgery procedures.
In the Philippine show business, I can safely say that this is indeed the most common of all the retoke that the actors/actresses undergo (with with the boob job and buttocks not falling to far behind.. get it? behind? :-) … Anyway…
Why does someone undergo Rhinoplasty? The very obvious answer (applicable to both the celebrity and the common tao) is to fix the nose. Either they want it to look good (which is the most common) or if it was broken, or cysts removal or may lumps, deformed, tumor.. etc… etc..
Notable Filipino Doctor who I think specializes in this type of procedure is Eduardo Yap (Metropolitan Hospital). Mr. Yap will and other ‘nose surgery’ experts will be having a Symposium in Seoul, Korea May 12 and 13, 2007… The US representative for that gathering is Dr. Ira Papel of John Hopkins University. I’m not sure if he’s the one who do rhinoplasty in Orlando, but I’m sure he is good.
