The Man Behind Boy Bastos
Visited the boybastos.com site when I got home from Gilmore and it’s down (with still some few words to say). . My wife said that the NBI (or someone) finally got the man behind the talked about website. It’s all over the news now.
When I first found out about that news, I was not aware of the existence of boy bastos dot com. Checked the site then, and immediately I have a 100% idea who was the single man behind boybastos – the Bembang man himself!
Mark is ‘the dude who created Bembang! almost 4 years ago‘. I admire the man (not in the gay sense of the word). I read his About Page and got the impression that he really love his work – which is technically nothing. He’s just into ‘creating & updating sites for a living‘. When I read those lines, I said to myself… Idol ‘to!
He said:
I don’t have a job. I make a living from Internet ads (AdSense, AdBrite, etc.)… In 2006 one of my sites reached the Top 100 Philippine Sites in Alexa’s rating. I will keep that site secret from this blog because God might see that I created that site and it might cost me my ticket to paradise.
Well, I guess we now know which site that is, eh?
I wanted to do what he does actually. I want to be jobless too.. :) but with many money. I then started copying his moves (well the ones that I am aware of anyway) I started doing my blog stat when I saw him did his. I wanted to have 1000 unique visitors too before putting in any sponsored stuff (which I can’t wait any longer).
How did I find out about Mark Verzo?
Probably around April this year, that was the time when I was thinking of doing a blog about local filipino bands under everything-eli and I needed material for the new blog. I did a little Googling and I stumble upon Rockstar Bembang.
Original concept was to put in as much information as possible for every contemporary pinoy banda – news, articles, gig sched etc. It is through this website (rockstar bembang) that I started creating profiles for Pinoy Banda.
From then, I just follow the bread crums that eventually led me to The secret blog of Mark Verzo… and his neighboor.

Everything-Eli shuts down… hahahaha…

After checking the whois info and seeing the e-mail address and reading the about page of thoughtsinbinary, I also had the suspicion that it was him.
Is he also the owner of KwentongK__________.blogspot.com? He’s bloghopping with signature boybastos.

i’ve heard rumors that Loren wants to put down boybastos site… i didnt know that she actually succeeded… well i cant blame her… there are rights that are being violated there…
