Radioactive Iodine Treatment.. 10 Days Hiatus… Sa Office!

December 4th, 2007 by Elizar

Tomorrow. The treatment will be tomorrow.

Yesterday, I was absent from work. I had to take this Thyroid Scan test prior setting the date of my RAI treatment.  Went to the Manila Doctor’s Hospital as early as 8:00am to take the laboratory test.

Thyroid Scan

What a thyroid scan basically do is it can show the size, shape, and location of the thyroid gland. That’s what Dr. Jerry Obaldo requested from me last week which I took yesterday and the results are good! (even though I’ve waited 5 hours in the hospital lobby!)

11 Rest Days

Since I’ll be all radioactive and all Peter Petrelli, I’ll be on leave for at least 2 weeks from work. That’s December 6, December 10-11 and December 15-17. All in all, that’s from December 6 to December 17! All days not mentioned are my rest days… cool eh?

What’s Going to Happen?

According to the specialist, after taking the pill I must not get near someone for a long period of time. Few minutes is ok, but not hours. But I’m not taking my chance.

When I get home tomorrow noon or afternoon, I will isolate myself in one of the extra bedroom in our house and stay there for 11 days! With Heroes and FRIENDS DVDs and my guitar and cheap keyboards and an internet connection, I can survive that…

I will definitely miss my boy.
