O2 XDA Zinc, Possible Next Phone?
This dude wants me to buy his O2 XDA Zinc pocket PC phone. I was browsing around tipidcp for my next possible phone when I stumble upon his item for sale. I drop and inquiry about the item he’s selling and he didn’t stop asking when I’ll be getting the PDA Phone.
He’s got good reputation but I got no money. :) … and that is one cool phone.
I have made a few post about getting myself a new PDA Phone and that I need to upgrade and that a pocket pc is a great tool in mobile blogging (specially if you are able to go online using GPRS or 3G)plus it a sure great way to kill time during long commutes.
XDA Zinc Specs
Just like any other O2 devices, XDA Zinc runs on Windows Mobile. This one has Microsoft® Windows Mobile® 5.0. It has an Intel XScale® PXA 270 Processor at 520MHz + Intel Hermon. Weighs around 175g with 2.8″ TFT LCD display with touch panel. It has a dot resolution of 320 x 240 and 65K colors!
One of the main feature that I’m looking for on a new PDA/Phone is wifi connectivity, to further utilize the Linksys wireless router back home. XDA Zinc has a built-in Wireless LAN 802.11b+g which is perfect!
Other cool features are:
- 2 Megapixels CMOS Fixed-focus camera
- Secondary VGA camera for video calls
- 128MB Flash ROM
- 64MB RAM
- MiniSD expandable memory could be micro sd
- Standby time 220 hours
- Talk time up to 5 hours
So, If I am able to sell my 5th generation 30GB video iPod, Lois and I will say hello to our new phones - mine the XDA O2 Zinc, hers my Smart retention plan. :D
