Load Content First

Blogged under Blogging by Elizar on Saturday 15 September 2007 at 7:39 am

I have a problem with my Wordpress theme/layout and I hope someone out there can help and suggest something. Specially Bob (he’s been pretty busy lately I guess).

Every time I load my blog, the sidebars loads first. That is a big blog design blooper, is it not? The content part of the blog has to load first so the readers can do their thing - which is read - immediately, not waiting for the content while the sidebars are loading. These problem are not a problem for fast connection but I’m Smart Wifi subscriber and I definitely notice the slowness.

So, until then, I hope every visitors that stumble upon this blog has a super fast connection… :)

I wish I were a css guru. When I hunted for themes, I just looked for one where the content loads first!

It has something to do with CSS and absolute positions. I just have an idea about it in theory though however I don’t know how to do it. haha
