All About Children’s Books

July 10th, 2008 by Elizar

With today’s technology and fast paced living, does people still find time to grab a paper back or read a couple of books?

Or in learning, do parents still rely on books when teaching their children? Or do they just used the internet as their primary resource in getting the information they need?

Recently, I found out that even a two year old toddler can surf Utube on his own… this is so true and saw it being done by my Matthew.

You can point a child to a specific topic/category on youtube for example and have him navigate the site all on his own.

But for those who still relies on children’s books, what sort of books do you think still sell for parents. In my case, I have several Alphabet books, and coloring books and books about Sesame street and barney… all children’s books

Bus For Sale

June 30th, 2008 by Elizar

Who would want to sell a bus nowadays with the price of petroleum and other petroleum products are going higher and higher faster than a speeding bullet.

With that, who would want to do business that dobus for sale for selling buses?

But still there are lots of bus companies who are still holding to the business and trying to keep it alive.. saludo si Eli! Coz, without you guys what would happened to us poor commuters?

Buying a car was once one on the top list of my todo list. Not anymore, well at least not on the urgent list of things. I think I’ll be commuting for some more years until the price of gasoline goes to a more reasonable price. right?

Aquarium and Fishes… Dyesebel? Marian Rivera? Angel Locsin?

June 26th, 2008 by Elizar

Here’s another one of those ’special post’… If you want to see a more “everything eli-sh” blog post, head on over to elizarpalad.com! I’m there waiting for you guys!

As you can see, Everything-Eli.com is not dead… It’s very much alive and is earning 15 dollars a post! harharhar!

This time I’ll be showing you another URL that you may or may not visit… Heck, it’s a free country.. You can do whatever you want!

Here it is:

http://www.aquariumguys.com

Curious? Check it out then! Let me give you a clue.. it’s all about Aquarium! Yes, aquiarium.. not about Yutube or Utube, not about Marian Rivera (dyesebel? Hmm.. pwede) and certainly not about Angel Locsin!

Anyways, Aquarium Guys dot com is all about aquarium.. It’s an aquarium stores.. this is definitely handy for those who have one. We for example have an unused aquarium sitting and collecting dust on our verenda.. We could use this site to purchase some things that will revive that old geezer.

We used to have a fish pet.. an Arowana and some other small fishes (yes arowana’s food, harhar).. but since it jumped over the aquarium (yes it died) we never had another one just like it.. *sad*

So if you’re thinking of having a pet fish (not dyesebel ayt?) head on over to that site!

Great Wordpress Theme For “Blog Assignments”

June 26th, 2008 by Elizar

Third post in less than 20 minutes of blogging… now that’s what I called Panic BLogging!! It’s pretty obvious that I am doing ‘blog assignments’ but I also would like to point that I am also sending out this kind of messages to my subscribers.. Please please.. follow me at ElizarPalad.com for more precise “Everything Eli” topics…

Good thing about this blog is that If I don’t categorize a blog post in “Everything Eli” category, it will not show up in my front page… but it will on your RSS readers, sorry. But that’s a price I have to pay for doing this.

And what is THIS? I’ll be talking about http://www.misikko.com/fachiceflir.html, .. or not.

Looking at the words you can probably click or copy the URL itself and visit the page for you to personally check out what that link is all about.

God ahead… try it.

Also “THIS” is all about “chi flat iron”… What?

What is “chi flat iron”?

Chi Flat Iron is what we call Filipinos as “Plantsa ng BUhok”.. I know since I check the URL myself and by looking at the picture, I instantly know what it is… coz My Wife has one and my sister has one.. heck even our house maid has one! It’s part of the Filipino morning routine!

This cool device, whoever invented this will make your hair really smooth looking and straight! I know… coz I saw it. Whenever we go to the mall or to some special occasion.. heck even not so special… my lady house mates always wear lovely hairs because of this “chi flat irons”

Do you have one? I know you do.

Thinking Like A Businessman

June 26th, 2008 by Elizar

It’s no secret (now) that I’ll be flying to Canada in a few weeks time for some ‘knowledge training’ for the new work. The whole thing will all be UNIX related.

For those who are subscribe to this blog (and been painstakingly reading every post here) I am very thankful! But this blog is DEAD… yes dead… I am down on my knees to please subscribe and follow me on my other blog… right now, that is where “Everything Eli” is happening.. where is it? it’s at elizarpalad.com!

It’s no secret too that I am pretty excited about the trip. Part of the excitement is that I’ll be meeting new people and will be seeing new places I’ve never been before… Of course I’m also looking forward for all thos moolah I’ll be bring home when I get back.

That’s why as early as now, I’m thinking of buying stuff related to business like office furniture, or office supplies, equipment and other business related stuff.

I do plan to put up a small business after this trip. What business? Well, music comes to mind but I’m open for anything as long as it’s feasible.

Doing business and doing blogging at the same time and journaling everything on utube while is not a bad idea… ayt? That’s not what my horoscop’s been telling me but hey, I don’t believe in those stuff anyway. :)

Night Shift Work May Cause Cancer?

December 16th, 2007 by Elizar

I almost missed a post today… I’ve been busy manning the computer shop the whole day.

Anyway, my 11days off from work is almost over now. I’ll be going to work on the 22nd of December. Little adjustment on my side, specially we’ll be doing graveyard shift the whole month of December.

Which reminds me that there are news lately saying that working night shift causes cancer! There are artcles dated back to 2005, saying that night shift workers are more prone to have breast cancer. Though these are unproven then, there are studies being done about it and new results are coming out.

Manila Doctor's HospitalThis is the reason why the drawing of the Pinoy bands contest was late and I wasn’t able to attend our company’s Christmas party (that’s tonight btw, while I’m here at home composing this post). I suppose to play bass for the Outage band (video from Yutube)… Oh well.

Series of Events

Since I’m watching 24 Season 1 DVD (bought it on ebay btw using blog money), I’m going to do this Jack Bauer style “Secure the perimeter!” :

San Andres Bonifacio?

December 2nd, 2007 by Elizar

andres bonifacio

Just a quick post and a small trivia for you guys.

What does St. Andrew the apostle and one of Philippines’ greatest Hero Andres Bonifacio have in common? Give up?

It’s November 30! (pretty late post huh?)

Anyway, one quick fact of trivia is that the feast of Saint Andrew is observed on November 30 in both the Eastern and Western churches and at the same time, Andrés Bonifacio y de Castro was born November 30, 1863.

Yesterday also (or two days ago), November 30, was Norzagaray (our town) fiesta!

Google Trends

I first learned about Google Trends on Marhgil Macuha’s mini SEO contest. Since then I’ve been visiting the trends site for the keywords that will be on my post.

Just like today. I checked out if people using Google is looking for keywords such as ‘St. Andres’ or ‘Saint Andrew’ or ‘San Andres’ and here is what I found out.
