F@c#$@!! Mark David Chapman!! (i wonder if Google can search that word… :)
The photograph on the left was taken December 8, 1980, the day that John Lennon was murdered. That dude in the picture, the one who’s asking for John’s autograph is Mark David Chapman, John’s Killer.
As John Lennon was leaving The Dakota Building early on the day of December 8th, he was approached by what he thought was a fan. Mark had asked him, “John, will you sign this?” and John said “Sure, no problem”. And he signed it with Mark’s pen. After he had signed it, He asked Mark “Is that all you want?” and then He asked it again, “Is that all you want?” and Mark replied with a yes, “Yes, thank you John.”
Then John went to his car and drove away. That very same night, Mark was waiting for him and was prepared to kill him.

Paul McCartney is set to release a collection of his music videos, live concerts and performance, personal commentaries, behind the scenes excerpts and other goodies on a boxed DVD set.
The release date was reported to be today (or yesterday - timestamp tool) November 13, 2007.
The DVD Set, amply titled McCartney Years is a 3 volume DVD collection that put together all 4 decades of Paul McCartney’s career. This will surely make all fans of Paul (and The Beatles) super excited.
Here’s the promotional video for the McCartney Years from Sir Paul himself…
The McCartney Years is also packed with bonus features and extra never before seen footage and performances, including Let It Be from Live Aid, archive interviews with Melvyn Bragg and Michael Parkinson, alternative versions of music videos and the full-length 2005 documentary Creating Chaos at Abbey Road. Paul has recorded exclusive commentary and personal introductions for each promo video and each live concert.
Another one on my wish list…

Remember my post about John Lennon’s hidden message on a backmasked song “Tomorrow Never Knows“?
Although there are lots of things that you can hear when you turn a song around, they are only bits and pieces. There really is no song (or anything produced in a recording studio) that is backmaskable from beginning to end, meaning the whole song.
Except for one. The Beatles’ Revolution Number 9.
Revolution 9
Revolution 9, a “song” from The Beatles’ White Album, is one of the first projects of many collaboration of John Lennon and Yoko Ono. It is complete non-sense when I first heard it (Thanks to my father who bought the 2-disc CD of The White Album). I listened to it in full once and then never again - skip it ever since. It’s a whole 8 and a half minutes of junk.

I am the number one fan of The Beatles! (every Beatle fan claims that).
I have all (most) of their CDs (original ha), their Anthology DVDs (pirated), several VCD of their documentary, their movies (A Hard day’s night, HELP!, Magical Mystery Tour, Yellow Submarine, Let It Be) sige pa, I have their classic Jingle chordbook, I have (2) biography book, A Time magazine special of John Lennon, a Peoples mag version of the Time magazine version (ano raw?heheh) and others… (too many daw to mention)
I wished GMA 7 or ABS-CBN or even ABC-5 buy the rights to air The Beatles Revolution Documentary! Para naman mapanood din ng ibang pinoy yun, Para dumami pa mga fans nila.
Anyway, with all the books I have about The Beatles, di parin ako nagsasawang magbasa ng kung ano anong related sa Beatles.
I have this website, every time I wanted to know some trivia about their songs… but you still have to search for the song… Buti nalang my officemate forwarded this Wikipedia article! Ayus na! Complete list!

Good news to all Beatles fans out there! Remember my ‘Let It Be’ post? I found that one night while looking for some John Lennon interviews. I found the full length Beatles movie instead.
Well, the good new is, I found the full movie of their first movie, “A Hard Day’s Night”….
Few facts about the movie:
- The people chasing The Beatles into the train at the beginning of the film are real fans.
- The movie’s working title was simply “The Beatles”.
- The title song was written after the movie was filmed.
- A young Phil Collins can be seen in the audience at the television theatre. He’s wearing glasses.
- Once “A Hard Day’s Night” was confirmed as the movie’s title, John Lennon (with help from Paul McCartney) composed the song that same night, playing it the next morning to producer Walter Shenson in their dressing room.

Ayon kay Ely — “Out of control na yung business matters, e.”.. (so business pala.. siguro nga.. tulad din ng sa Beatles)
Basta, umaasa pa rin ako na magkakabalikan sila.. bow…
Yun muna… 5:33pm na.. lapit na umuwi.. :)

Sir Paul McCartney’s new album will focus on his split from Heather Mills.
The Beatles legend, who is currently involved in a bitter divorce battle with the former model, is set to reveal his heartbreak on a new record to be released next year.
A source told Britain’s Daily Express newspaper: “Paul never stops writing songs and they often reflect that’s going on in his life at the time. It’s now understood that tracks on his next album will include some direct references to his recent difficulties.
“He’s also said to have written a song to his three-year-old daughter Beatrice, explaining to her how things turned out the way they did.”
Paul’s 2005 album ‘Chaos and Creation In The Backyard’ is also said to have contained references to his troubled marriage to Heather.
‘Friends To Go’ includes lyrics about Paul feeling alone, while in ‘Riding To Vanity Fair’ Paul sings “the feelings have gone… you don’t fool anyone”.
Paul once said he finds music is “great therapy”, adding: “Inevitably moods, feelings and emotions find their way into your music, whether you like it or not. You can’t help it.”
The 64-year-old dedicated his 2006 classical album ‘Ecce Cor Meum’ to his first wife Linda who died of breast cancer in 1998.
