Sun Microsystems Buys Mysql AB!

Jonathan Schwartz’ (Chief Executive Officer and President of Sun Microsystems) announced yesterday from his blog that Sun has acquired Mysql AB, the company behind the widest used open sourced database platform, Mysql.
It was reported that the open source database was bought for approximately $1 billion. A price suitable for Mysql.
