I never thought that there is a pattern of behavior in corporate slave staff or just any other employee.. Looks like we all think alike in some way or another.
I found out about this when I read the post over at jehzlau-concepts (yes, the man behind that famous blog quit his job in favor of being a freelance).
You want proof? Look at the search trends for “Resignation Letters”

As you can see, same old trend from the past 4 years!
As you can see (ulit) the peak of the graph… June!!!! Hmmm.. time to search for that perfect Resignation Letter huh ?
LOL!
update: Done. On with the new adventure.. now it’s time to meet mortgage lenders who can help me! :D

It has been a while since Marhgil started the Pinay Scandal campaign and now I get a backlink once in a while for that original post. The latest I got was from a techie, linux/ubutu site.
To date, here’s a current list of those who joined the movement… (I should have taken Marhgil’s list but hey, I guess it’s alright)…

My brother will be coming back home from New Yok tomorrow. We’ll be picking him up around 12 noon at the airport… (not sure if he’ll be in Ninoy Aquino International Airport or at the new terminal).
Good thing there’s no work tomorrow (one of 4 rest days). Everyone’s excited, I got myself another set of books and DVD.. as always..
Lois is also excited, who bought for herself a new Fossil lady’s wrist watch… too bad she haven’t heard about the Lange Sohne, which are so elegant looking with cool leathery design! :)

Nice eh?

This blog post will talk about the experience done in tranfering one blog to another host… and hey, the misspelled tranfer word really was done intentionally, ayt?
I have read a couple of posts just like this, where a blogger moves his blog either from one domain name to another or from one web hosting company to another… I never thought that I would be doing the same thing for one of my blog…
To keep the tradition alive.. nyahaha, here’s the things I did in transferring Pinoy Banda from Marvin’s Web (Registrar and webhost) to Godaddy (Registrar) and 000Webhost (Free hosting).
Background…
Pinoy Banda was set to expire on May 21, 2008 .. wait! That’s yesterday! hehehe… Instead of renewing the domain with my registrar, I transfer the domain name to GoDaddy.
But before that… Backup, Backup Backup
Did a little reading in transferring a Wordpress blog to another host. I think the one I read was the one in wordpress Codex.. Go read that one if you’ll be transferring one of your own blog to another webhost.

How to get a URL to be unbanned in Digg.
I’ve been ranting and complaining about my everything-eli being banned in Google (or at least dropped its PR to 0)… I got over it in a way.
But I got another thing to rant about. My Wrong spelling blog/URL, I think just got banned from Digg. I can no longer submit any post from that blog. Apparently, the users of Digg, buried my blog so no one will be able to submit any URL from that blog.
So, how do you get yourself unbanned from Digg?
I’m sorry, but this post is not a solution to that question. I’m actually asking for help to those whoever stumble to this blog. Any tips?
Help? You could try and submit any URL from my Wrong Spelling Blog and see if Digg will allow the submission.
When I try it, I alway get a:
This link does not appear to be a working link. Please check the URL and try again.
I was wondering if another account could submit a URL from my blog.
Anyway, I just hope Digg reconsiders… I’ll correct all my wrong spelling blog if they do. :)

Hoy! Pinoy Ako! Buo aking loob! May agimat ang dugo ko!! Boy you should hear me sing that song! All my veins are popping out!
Anyway, that’s one of Bamboo’s hits and I am sure every pinoy (filipino) knows that song.
But we’re not here to talk about music (for now). Let’s blog and ‘pinoy’ is the word for tonight!
Have you tried Googling the word ‘pinoy’? No? Well, to save you time, there is 9 million (a few thousand more) websites according to Googel!
And checking Google Trends, looks like people really do want to know something about ‘Pinoy’ (the red one is for Qoutes… and both words are being searched by pinoy themselves! would you believe that?!):

If you’re going to optimize ‘pinoy’ word for your blog, you have 9 million websites to beat! Good luck to that! :D Let’s bring it on!
Well, this is not a an overnight project… This may take a while, so it’s probably ok.
Anyway, I checked Pinoybanda.com’s rank on Googel, and it’s on page 5 with Pinoyblogosphere, Pinoy Travel Blog, Pinoy Big Brother, Pinoyblogero and others.
Most of them are blogs huh? And with the current exposure of blogs on TV, those who search for ‘pinoy’ will probably check out these sites.. but of course, they’ll probably check on Pinoy Banda too! *wink*

How would you know the position of the keywords your optimizing on Google or Yahoo (or MSN or Live)? Do you manually search for it and look for your blog post on each and every page… say till you reach the 10th page and decided to stop and that your post is nowhere to be found in the search engine’s SERP?
To tell you with all honesty, I do.. or did that till Allen of Silkenhut post a tip (a site) where you put in your keyword and the domain and it will search your position for you! Big help! (I am such a lousy searcher… too lazy to find things that would easy my blog life. )

Have you seen the latest Coca cola commercial airing in Philippine television lately? You know, the angel that goes down from 7th Heaven book heaven to taste Coke?
If you have not seen it yet, see vidio below taken from yutube… as always, the coke commercial catches Pinoy’s fancy.

Here’s a cool tip to find out if you’re chat mate is off-line or just in invisible mode (or worst, enabled the ‘Stealth mode’ so you wouldn’t bother him). :)
There’s actually 4 ways of finding that out. Let’s enumerate and explain/test the best one, shall we?
- Doodle IMvironment
- Voice Chat
- Conference Invitation
- Stealth Setting Check
Doodle Invironment
Select the “Doodle IMvironment”, go look for it in the usual IMviroment part of YM (come on you know where it is).
“If the user is offline, the Doodle area will show “waiting for your friend to load Doodle” continuously”.. its like a whiteboard with writings on it.
But if the user is online (i.e. invisible) after a few seconds you’ll get a blank screen and ready to “Doodle”
Voice Chat
Try inviting the person who ‘appears offline’. If you get an error like “Internal Error. Cannot obtain voice token to start voice chat” or something similar, the user user is indeed off line.
But if there’s no error and it continues to work (you know, with the “talk” and “hands free” enabled and not grayed out) the user is hiding from you! :)
Conference Invitation
This is the same thing as the “Voice Chat” method. You’ll get an error if he’s offline and if he isn’t, you’ll be able to ad him in the conference.
Stealth Setting Check
This is my favorite… So easy to use. All you have to do is enter his YM ID and done. He’s either online or offline.
Here’s a few services (last time I checked, they have errors, except he last one)
Invinsible.ir
Xeeber
Ikitek.com
Enjoy!

For those of you who visits me here, you can also follow me at elizar.palad.info where most of my post there are (hopefully) goldmine keywords and that’s also the place where I do the SEO challenge.. my opponent? Myself.
This 3 month old blog was suppose to be used to optimize the “Beatles Lyrics” keywords but I find it very difficult with all those competition and thousands of websites dedicated to The Beatles made it even more harder.
I’ve been optimizing the following keywords for a month now:
And I am happy to say that all of them are doing pretty good! And most of my traffic then was from these keywords. This was the time before we did the ‘Googel‘ keyword, which was only started last week. Now most visitors arrived in that post.
Here’s the search trend for the two young, hot, sexy actress:

As you can see, people (which I guess most if not all are Filipinos) has been searching information for “Angel Locsin” since early 2005. That’s before Darna ain’t it?
Marian’s fame in the search engine only started mid-2007. I’m guessing that’s when Marimar started airing?
Anyway, with dyesebel coming, I’m sure people will continue searching for “Marian Rivera” so I guess everyone who’s into SEO should start optimizing it now huh?
Alright, happy optimizing! And btw, if you ever find yourself on page 1 for “angel locsin”, pa-link naman.. I’m stuck at page 2.. ayaw tumaas.. :) Unlike Marian, where I’ve been page 1 for a couple of days now. :)
Let the game begin!

Why did I gave it away? The ‘Googel‘ keyword, that is. That’s the question I asked myself after reading Karlo’s Googel post. He really do have a point there. Why would I want to share it and let everyone knows about it than just keep it to myself?
Here’s why…
Like I said a zillion time before, I’m quite new in this thing they are calling SEO. The first time I was ever exposed to it was when I joined the ‘Marhgil Macuha‘ contest (which I won the Yahoo part btw)… I learned a couple of things then, specially those shared by other joiners.
I also met learned about the blogs of other SEO fanatics (subscribed to their blogs of course) which I then applied when I joined Pinoy Money Talk’s SEO contest (which I almost bagged the prize, my Pinoy Banda entry slipped in the last minute or so… Darn! :)

Holy Cow Batman!! I checked my Google analytics data before going to bed tonight and I just have to blog about this now, tonight!
Yesterday, I mentioned about optimizing “Googel” keyword since there are less competition and the volume of those who search for it is incredible!
What’s more incredible is that, this morning (until mid day), I found my entry on the first page of Google! (with my account log off!)… Though it’s on the second page now, but I tell you, the visitors it brought to the blog post was amazing! Check it out!:

UPDATE (March 20) : Here’s the latest Google analytics for the Googel post

Would you believe that? I wouldn’t! My almost 3-month old blog had a number of visitors this 2 year old blog could not dream of! :) Thanks to SEO!
