Tried making today a family day. Niyaya ko si Lois (with Matthew of course) mamasyal sa mall… Natuloy naman ulit… :) kasama namin si Ate at si Kim.

One of our agenda sa pag alis ay para ipagawa talaga ung mga cellphone nmin.. Lois, her SE k608i (ayaw na kasing mag charge) and my XDA2, ayaw ding mag charge…

Parehong lokal.. hehehe

About the repair? Buti naman good news pareho… Yung kanya may nasira daw na chip, na over charge or something… pero may nabili kaming battery charger, mismo ung battery ang charge mo, pwede daw kahit saang phone.. (teka picturan ko nag makita nyo…)Yung XDA ko naman, alam ko naman sira nun, nag loose ung charging pin sa bottom ng phone.. good thing nagawa nya… hininang lang… Funny this was, it was my second visit to their shop.. Nung unang punta ko dun, ung babae ung nakausap ko (asssistant or something).. kaya di ako ntuloy magpagawa, kasi hinihingan ako ng P2500 for the charging pin… Sabi ko try ko muna sa Brightpoint, which is the official repair center ng XDA.. naisip ko baka naman walang P2500 un pag dun ko pinagawa… Kanina kasi, tinanong ko diretso ung gumagwa. P300 lang hinihingi sakin nung technician.. labo no?! buti di ako nautakan nung babae…

So, un nagbayad ako sa cashier ng P300, and sikreto kong inabutan ung gumawa ng P200, pasalamat lang.. ;)

Anyway, nag grocery na rin kami, then bumili kmi ng kung ano ano… slippers for Matthew.. toy teeth (ung pustiso na nguya ng nguya, for Matthew), some shirts (for Matthew)… Bumili na rin ako shoes.. wawa naman ako, sira sira na leather shoes ko.. magn morning shift nako sa May, Bed sheet for Lois… then ung groceries nga.. napakinit knina, naka ilang P5.00 ice cream cones ako.. heheheh…

‘Lika na byahe tayo! April 8, 2007, natuloy rin sa wakas ang isa sa mga plano kong gawin.. hehehe.. sabi kasi lois, puro balak, puro plano,wala namang natutuloy.. :)

So this day, Easter Sunday, nag swimming kami sa Sitio Lucia (aka St. Michael KTV something…. ) Kung di kayo familiar sa place, nagpunta na dito ang SOP at Eat Bulaga and dito din ginanap yung reality TV na search for EB Babe… Tanda nyo un? Anyway, dun nalang kami nagpunta since maganda naman at 15 minutes lang ang layo samin.

Ang daming tao considering na around 9:30am or 10am kami dumating dun. Marami kasi talagang dumadayo dito. Nag settle in na kami sa table namin. Show also is me and matt… ino-orient ko sya kung pano gagawin nya mamaya sa pool.. hehehe..

Naglayas na naman si Lois knina… Nakahanap na naman ng dahilan para umuwi sa kanila.

Ang dahilan?

She saw an email apparently sent by me… asking some hooker to meet up! I would never do that! She should have known better. Alas, un nga ang nkita kong dahilan.

She left around 6:30am, susundan ko na sana sya agad, baka sakaling mahabol sa jeep, langyang starex naman, saka kinatikot ng bayaw ko. Kainis talaga… so mga 7:00am nako naka alis… I checked every jeepney that I pass through, hoping that LOis and my boy are in there. Wala. Inintay ko pa sila sa tollgate ng bocaue, umaasa na naunahan ko yung sinasakyan nila… wala pa rin.

Nagtuloy na ko sa Nazarenuz Hospital para mag pacheckup. 8:00am ako nandun, 9:30 pa start ng clinic. Intay pako. Then around 9:00am dumating na ung receptionist, nakilala nya ko at sinabing wala daw si dra. batongbakal.. nasa convention, out of country. haay.. sayang oras, sayang pera.. naka P300 ako sa gas.. ;)

Ayaw pa mag start ng starex kanina nung papauwi na sana ko.. Drain ulit ung battery… Meycauayan pa raw ung pinakamalapit na kargahan ng baterya… Wala naman ako gamit para tanggalin.. h aaaayy ulit… Buti nalang, after kong kausapin ng masinsinan ung sasakyan, nag start sya! Ang galing! :)

10am palang nang ako’y dumating dito sa bahay.. Still hoping na nandito sila, na di sila tumuloy.. wala eh.. nagbantay na lang ako sa shop… time: 11:52…

It’s my second day of rest… Papasok sana ngayong gabi, kaya lang sabi ni Rachel better to take some more rest, baka daw sumpungin na naman ako sa office….

Bait naman ni Rachel, considering morning shift sya for 12 hrs then kukunin nya night shfit ko.. which is another 12 hrs…. take your vitamins rachel!

So dito lang ako sa bahay… laro laro kay Matthew… bantay bantay ng shop, tulong kay Ate Yolly…

Knina, nagluto ng pansit sina Lois, and eto ako at si Matt.. enjoying it!

This coming tuesday, summer outing na namin.. kung di ako makakasama, friday na pasok ko.. Sarap! :)

This is about Thursday… March 8… Nelson, my brother boarded the plane to New York around 11:00am today. He sent and SMS saying that he’ll probably be there 9:00am Philippine time tomorrow morning… Di na nagpahatid eh. Si allyson (or Alli)ang kasama nya.

Nagpacheckup din kami ni Matthew today… Me for my thyroid and him for his chicken pox vaccination.. Here’s Matthew while waiting for his turn to be called.

Went to the office around 2pm for the Storage training. Like I said a few post back, Unix will be given a few Storage task. Those common page they receive from OC-DBA or the automatic alert from DFM will now be attended by the those good looking guys in OC-UNIX… :)

Today also, I was supposed to meet my other 2 brother in Glorietta… Dennis (the youngest) is supposed to give me the money from my mom for the month of March.. and Nel, is suppose to give me the ATM/account where we will deposit the computer shop money…. Wasn’t able to meet neither. 2pm nako dumating..kala ko 1:30pm eh.. 11:am pa naman ako umalis ng bahay..

Anyway, in the 18th floor of the PhilamLife tower, Sir Greg Dube taught us some theories about NetApp and some explain some terms associated with the filer.. like aggregates, volumes, qtrees, luns etc… He was good! Everything stuck to mind… :) It took us couple of hours before we wrap it up. Dinner time! :)

Network and Unix team had dinner with Mitch and Greg, the network and unix/storage managers respectively. We ate at some seafood restaurant, I forgot the name, but it’s in Greenbelt 3, 3rd floor beside the Sports Grill something.. :)

I ordered the Seafood Platters One… What a serving! Buong kawali (literally) binigay sakin.. It has (very) large fries, prawns, fish meat, and grilled calamares! Tasty!

What a wonderful way to end a hard day’s work… A commute like hell!

We had several issues at the office today (like the Jetstar selling 22K seats! it’s a super sale) All jetstar web servers are crawling to a stop… Adam and the rest of the guys in Sydney, prepared 3 decommissioned servers to put into the web server pool… I had to configure ‘em and endorse to the Ops Team…

Anyway, got off work around 7:15pm.. jeepney ride from Ayala/Paseo to MRT was hell (parusa) hirap sumakay.. even the ladies will push you just to get in. Fine by me! :) GOod thing I’m a true blue, pure blooded gentleman.. one of the last boyscout! :)

MRT is a pain also.. Super jam-packed! Grabe, i should have taken a shot with my cell how sardine packed the train was! Got off in GMA/Kamuning station and waited for the bus to arrive… Buti nalang dumating agad!

Ang pinaka nakakainis sa lahat… Super gapang ang bus! Grabe! parang kasali sa prosisyon ng birheng maria! Hindi lang un.. pag may crowd of people, tatambay pa, ang maghihtay ng sakay! Grabe, i suppose to be home by 9:30 dapat diba? If you remember my other post of commute…

Finally got home by 10pm. Darn it! Kumain pa ko.. then nakipag kwentuhan pa kay Lois, then nkipaglaro pa ko kay Matthew.. (oo, ginising ko pa, hehehe… un lang nkakawala ng pagod ko.. ) then sinulat ko pa tong entry na to..hehehe.. mapupuyat tuloy ako… 3:30am pa ko gigising bukas..

Alright… Night shift… Whole month of January night shift ang schedule ko sa trabaho.. Anong oras un? it’s from 7pm to 7am.. 12hrs! Opo, ganon katagal. Buti nalang 3 days or 4 days a week lang un pasok…

Anyway, weekend ang night shift sched namin.. that’s either from thursday to sunday or friday to sunday… Usually gising nako ng 3:30pm para mag prepare ng sarili.. isang oras din un.. 15 minutes para kumain, 15 minutes para sa ‘office’, 15 minutes para maligo and 15 minutes para magbihis and iba pang seremonyas…

That’s the time breakdown ng isang oras na preparasyon. Of course, kung may extra time (for example, natapos akong kumain ng 5minutes lang, kikipaglaro muna ko sa baby ko, or kwentuhan kay misis, or kay nanay nung nandito pa sila)

4:30pm dapat nakalabas nako ng bahay at naghihintay na ng jeep or dpat naka sakay na, byaheng Sta. Maria… Brgy Guyong na ang next destination ko dun.. kung swerte ako, may naunahan akong mga 3 gumagapang na bus byaheng Ayala/LRT Leveriza… Dapat between 5:00pm to 5:15pm nasa bus nko.. 5:30 to 5:45pm dapat Bocaue Tollgate nako.. Tapos, another 30 minutes dapat nasa Camachile nako, near Balintawak QC.

6:00pm to 6:30pm, I should be inside the MRT on my way to Ayala station, para makarating ako ng office by or before 7:00pm!! (Ano, naaawa na ba kyo sakin? byahe palang, ubos na 2 hours ko.. waahhh!!!)

So that’s 12 hours sa office.. 7:00am off ko, pauwi na rin ako nun.. Usually pagdating sa office, turn over, then check ng work email, alerts, IPR then check ng yahoo mail, gmail, friendster .. and everything-eli.com… un na! hehehe.. 12midnight lunch nmin, so break muna.. balik ulit sa project.. Blog.. :)

ganon.. 7am namin uwi.. at darating ako mga 9am sa bahay.. kain ng ‘dinner’ sandali, then chikahan kay Lois (my cute na cute na wife), kikipag laro kay matthew kung gising pa sya… tapos around 10am, natutulog nako till 3:30pm.. tapos ulit ulit.. paikot ikot ikot ikot ikot….

Well, sad day today…

Today is departure day. Hinatid namin sila nanay at tatay sa airport, on their way to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)… Dammam…

Alis kami bahay ng 9:00am then got there exactly 12noon! Grabe traffic… Naiwan pa nga nmin si Dennis, di na namin sya naintay sa Quiapo, pero sumunod pa rin sya.. He took a cab, that costs him P300! :)

Anyway, checkin sila and meet us in the parking area afterwards.. kakalungkot talaga hatiran… mas ok ung sunduan…

Their flight was 3:24pm.. arrival nila is 10pm KSA time, 3:00am dito un.. night shift ako, definitely will txt them maya maya…

Ate at pizzahut, nagbigay kasi pang miryenda si nanay.. sayang un ah, 1K din un..hehe..after that, they drop me off sa Paseo de Roxas (makati ave ung kinainan nmin).. 5pm ako dumating, told Jon to come early tomorrow.. ;) 5am!

Just got off in a chat with Lois, kinamusta ko ung bahay.. un nga daw, malungkot.. parang ang daming nawala… kakamiss tuloy lalo… mimiss na rin ni Lois si nanay, kasi katulong nya un sa pag aalaga kya Matthew eh.. hehe…

I am a commuter. I’ve been a commuter almost half of my life… (let’s do quick computation.. im 28, started commuting since 1995, i was 16 or 17… see almost half! :) - I just want to note here that’s the bus fare from Norzagaray (errr.. sta maria) to MRT North/Cubao for Del Carmen was adjusted to a more reasonable one.

Anyway,

I’m a regular passenger of jeepneys, buses and trains (LRT,MRT)… Nasaksihan ko ang unti unting pagtaas ng gasolina at syempre,ng pamasahe.. I remember when I was in high school in my old school in Norzagaray, Bulacan, 2nd year ako nun, sigurado, since i remember I was on the second floor of the building and every time we’re waiting for the next teacher to come, nakadungaw ako sa bintana, nakikita ko ung mga bus na Roval byaheng Cubao… Though then, I never thought I’ll be riding those things..

First year college, 1995,start na ng commute.. I can recall bus fare then was P15. (and jeep i think was P1.50) nice eh? Those were the days na super ok maging business or maging owner ka ng bus… Kasi everyone’s moving around, everyone’s going somewhere then. And the best part of that time is parang monopolyo ang bus business.. There was only one bus operator then - Roval Tours… And then, everyone.. well,someone, jumped in to the band wagon. The next operator sa byaheng Cubao was Erwin. For years, silang dalawa lang.. like Microsoft and Apple.. the Linux came in..

Nuestra Senora Del Carmen’s original route was Leveriza - EDSA - Malanday.. But since the whole fleet of Del Carmen Buses was coming from Sta Maria (partida), nagsasakay na sila ng pasahero from their garage to cubao.. that’s where it all started…

Mas mura kasi pamasahe ng Del Carmen vs Roval and Del Carmen are aircon buses! Wala kasi line ang Del Carmen kaya mura sila and illegal.. Nang kumuha ng line sa LTFRB ang delcarmen, that ends Roval.. They went bankrupt and nahdah.. bye bye…

Then, this whole oil price came.. naging per kilometer ung singilan ng Del Carmen.. from P30 naging P65! No choice kaming mga commuter since Del Carmen na lang ung natitirang bus operator diretso sa Cubao (or course may option to take the Divisoria bus kaya lang super bagal!! grabe! 3-4 hours uubusin)

Then the Philippine Corithian bus came into picture.. and the story now repeats itself.. This time it Phil Corinthian vs Del Carmen.. That’s P30 vs P65.. san ka pa? aircon naman sila pareho.. It’s been like that for couple of years na..

Until Del Carmen give in today! Pagsakay ko bus kanina sa delcarmen (im not choosy, which bus came first, dun ako sumasakay, wag lang ma late) P30 na lang siningil nila sakin..

Good move for Del Carmen!

Anyway.. here pala is the history of the bus.. not bus or car insurance

All I know then is Bus came from OmniBus… na parang may nakikita kong ganong bus sa EDSA

Updates, updates…. Today is updates day… 4 days off kasi.. super bakasyon

Update today.. as of 12:42pm after lunch.. kakatapos ko lang maglunch and i want to put everything i can remember here.. since mamaya makakalimutan ko na to… And maya maya, I’ll be driving to Malolos.. Mom requested me to take her there. Why? Derma stuffs…

Anyway, today I got Matthew his educational plan from Cocoplans. Aling Cora dropped by here (as she promised last week) to give me the education plan… Naistobo nya nga ako eh.. I was sandpapering the computer tables in the shop… I got the annual plan for 5 years.. with P37,000 per year.. Will paste the plan she gave me.

Update on the computer shop.. well those people doing the wood work just got finished yesterday, according to Nel who called while we were in SM Marilao. And speaking of SM, here’s what we did… The main reason for me, was to buy myself a power supply for my computer and a silicon casing for my iPod (but bought a plastic case instead). Those two items are related in a way… I wanted to sync my mp3s (from my computer) to my ipod… The thing is, my computer is not starting up.. there was no power in the HDD and the CDROM. (Bought Paint, thinner and masilya for the computer table)

Replaced the power supply (which cost P700 btw) and booted the pc up.. Surprisingly, ayaw pa rin! bwahaha! wala pa ring power ung mga discs… I should have notice this during my previous troubleshooting - took off the data cable (hdd/cdrom) para power lang nakakabit, when i turned on the pc, may power… syempre di nadetect.. I then took the ribbon cable of my bro’s pc.. un, nag power!

But the other problem is still there.. nag rerestart sya after mag login… Tried removing other programs, since booting in safe mode is ok. Some program could not be removed.. I have no registry clearner… so i decided to reinstall windows anyway. After installation, ok na! Time to reinstall programs.. Photoshop, Sony Ericson CD, MS Active Sync, iTunes, Office and other utilities…

Last night, while doing the reinstallation of Windows XP.. i finished the “The Dark Tower 6: Song of Susannah” — the story concludes in the Dixie Pig… where sussanah/Mia is suppose to take birth and was taken to the door. Will read the end part again and edit this one.. :D

I will start reading Book 7 soon! Maybe tonight! :)

Last two days, we watched Freddy Krueger - Nightmare on Elm Street - that’s one of my favorite horror movie… well, its the sequel (part 2) but ok na rin un… Maybe tonight we’ll watch the 2nd part. (scared)
