Canon DC22 Camcorder – My fourth EBAY transaction

Cool camcorder! I just won my fourth bidding on Ebay for this Canon DC22!

We went to a mall today. Lois and I were suppose to buy a digital video but unfortunately, we went home empty handed. (But my mom bought her new cellphone with built-in TV reception!)

I wanted to have one. (not so bad, but bad enough to logged in to ebay to get)

A quick Google says that this camcorder was released late-2006 at a market price of $699 and falls between the high-end Canon DC40 and the entry-level Canon DC100. (Won the bidding at $280 by the way.)

Have no time to check out all the gory details (wife wants me in bed in 5 minutes or else)… So I’m just mention the stuff that made it cool.

  • It uses 3″DVD! Cool! (ang babaw ko no?!)
  • 10x Optical zoom
  • 2.2 Megapixel CCD Image Sensor with RGB Primary Color Filter
  • Widescreen HR (high resolution) recording
  • large 2.7-inch Widescreen LCD
  • can read all DVD-R/-RW DVD discs
  • can store up to 60 minutes of video
  • compatible with many home DVD players

Besides from all those features, it was also tagged as the “world’s smallest and lightest DVD camcorders”. Not sure if that still holds true today, but it was during its release. Also with Verbatim’s innovative VideoGard protection also helps the cause and ensures storage of quality videos for many years to come.

You can Google the rest of the specs if you’re curious still. That’s enough for me though.

Have a great night! Night folks!
