In Need Of A New Theme

July 1st, 2008 admin Posted in Elizar | No Comments »

I have been hunting for a new cool looking, seo friendly wordpress theme lately. But that is not for this ‘adayinalife’ blog.. oh no sir.. I love it here.

Orange Limau theme from blogohblog will be staying here for a long time, if not forever.. just like The Beatles blog and my Father and Son blog.

I’m looking for a new theme for my official blog site, elizarpalad.com.  Right now, I’m using the DePo Clean Theme. It look good, but its also tempting to put on tons of adsense ads.. which may distract some of my blogmates… You see, I will be using that blog for interacting with other blogger and not for SEO projects.. well, maybe not as active as the *info blogs.

Sharing Links

I noticed that there are still a few handful of stumblers/visitors that visits this particular blog…

This blog is basically dead in activity, and so I would like to urge you to go to my other blogs, either personal blog or otherwise.

  • Father and Son blog is my personal blog with my two sons. It documents stuff that we do etc etc.
  • Pinoy Banda is my hobby blog… Local bands news and gigs sched and other are the content of that blog.. Also put a registered cbox chat box just for my fellow local pinoy bands fans to chit chat.
  • Matt and Sean also have a blog of their own, even though they are too young to update and post.. well it’s just a photoblog. I (we) put pictures of our two babies there - Matt and Sean
  • You could also may want to visit my Marian Rivera post… on Orchid Lois blog… Initially, I created that blog for my wife.. but since she’s ‘pretty occupied’ with the kids, I made it to a Showbiz and Entertainment blog.. :)
  • If there’s a Marian Rivera post, I also have this Angel Locsin Post on Elizar Palad Info blog! Jeez! You should drop by in that post! The comments there are overflowing! There’s a war going on! Are you on the right side? hehehe That’s my favorite blog as of this time..heheh, kakatuwa mga wrong spellings..
  • There’s a couple of blogs more, but I might bore you with those more… so yan muna.. heheh

Cheers!

Views On Online Gambling and Gambling In General

March 2nd, 2008 admin Posted in Sideline | No Comments »

Naks ng pucha, sobra haba ng title ah… :)

Anyway, here’s my view on gambling (and could also apply on online gambling and online casino).

In general, gambling is bad, period. Some people get too addicted that they loose everything they have just to play. Looks like they have urge to play and not wanting to stop. The feeling could be associated to those who are addicted to cigarettes or alcohol.

There are sites on the internet the provides reviews to these online casinos. I say, if you don’t like gambling and is opposed to even the idea of it and after reading a review about it on one of these review website and you are convinced to play, that is one good review site!

I still feel very negatively on online gambling sites or in gambling in genera. Sorry.

February 17th, 2008 admin Posted in Elizar | No Comments »

Hello.

The primary reason why I made this ‘adayinalife’ section of everything-eli is to put the ‘more personal’ post of everything-eli… which still is, with a more that a couple of sponsored post here and there…. ‘inmylife’ is more of a general post and FYI and trivia and Beatles type of blog…

Anyway, if you happened to stumble upon this part of my blog… ADAY in A life has moved to another domain…

Where? It’s here:

(so much for anonymity huh?)

So, see you there ayt? And don’t forget to update (or add) my link!

Gracias!

Virtual World and metaRL

February 15th, 2008 admin Posted in Elizar | No Comments »

I recently found out about this virtual world that exist on the internet! Virtual world you say? Yes! And there are quite a few of them!

One such world is IMVU! I haven’t really got myself to register but one quick search on YouTube tells me that it is a lot of fun!

Of course, in any world either virtual one of the one that we are living, we need basic things to survive. Basic things? Let me say that again, we need “Money” to survive.

Where do you get money in a virtual world? That’s where metaRL comes in.

What is metaRL?

metaRL is a portal for everyone who visits virtual worlds. Like I said, IMVU is one of those virtual world. You can particiate in games, surveys, tasks, and contests and earn virtual world currency.
Where will you send my points?

You earn metaPoints here at metaRL.com, and these points can be converted and transfered to online virtual worlds. Right now you can request payouts be sent to your account in SecondLife, Entropia, or IMVU.

So, that means participating in metaRL, that is joining in games, filing up surveys, doing tasks and contest will earn you virtual world money and can be converted to IMVU money! That’s  free imvu credits for just joining and participating in metaRL.

Try it for yourself! I sure going to try it.. im joining IMVU with Jacaranda as my name! See you there!

Almost Premature Birth

February 14th, 2008 admin Posted in Family, Lois | No Comments »

My wife was confined to the hospital for 3 days. I was able to check her out of the hospital just yesterday, February 14, 2007. (Yes, we’ve celebrated our Valentine’s Day at the Labor Room of St. Michael Family Hospital in Marilao, Bulacan.

Last Tuesday was her scheduled checkup with her OB/GYN, February 12, 2008. It was then that her doctor found out that she was already 2 to 3cm!

So she was admitted. Went first to the ER to do some paper works.. asked questions and stuff. She then was taken to the Labor room.. Unfortunately, Matt and I can’t go with her.

Went home and pack few of her clothes and mine and a couple of books and went back to the hospital.

First night, funny thing happened. I left the car keys inside the car and the car was locked! gadamn! So my wife was alone the first night coz I have to go back home to get the spare key.

Went back very early in the morning the next day. We really thought that we’ll be going home that day, but no. Doctor said that she has to stay a day more for further observataion… sumasakit pa kasi ang tummy nya and naninigas. Doctor said we ought to get a room since it took us more that a day and the room rate for the Labor room is the same as one of ‘em Suites rooms.

Unfortunately, no room was available. Ward? No way. Semi private? there’s already a man in there, out of the question.

So it’s another day then for the labor room. I thought I’ll sleeping in the hospital tonight, but I didn’t. Went home ulit… And got back the next day.

We were told by the nurse that my wife may need to stay for another day! No Way?! We don’t want to!

As soon as the Doctor came in.. my wife said.. “Doc, gusto ko na umuwi!” :D

So we’re home now. :D

Vacation Abroad

February 9th, 2008 admin Posted in Business, Checkup | No Comments »

Perfect timing to take this post… my brother just got his 10 year visa to the US last tuesday! He’s off to NY on February 28 and will be back May 26th.

I’m not sure how he booked his flight (probably with a travel agency or someone). But nowadays if you want to go somewhere abroad, either for work or vacation, one only has to check the web. There are literally thousands of sites out there offers online bookings. (Actually, own company develops application for such software).

Aside from online, there is another way of booking a flight nowadays, in case you haven’t ‘heard’ of it. It is called Dialaflight.

Dialaflight is a leading independent UK travel company offering flights, hotels & travel ideas worldwide. Of course like any other company, it also has an online counterpart - http://www.dialaflight.com.

The website is full of useful travel information and is your starting point to find the holiday of your dreams. From here you can search for flights, hotels, car hire and many travel ideas including weekend breaks, beach holidays, spa holidays & much more.

I don’t know if this will be a hit to pinoys in case that service is available here in the Philippines. Why?

To book with DialAFlight, clients just need to call and speak with one of our UK travel consultants, who will ensure that all requirements are fulfilled. By speaking on the phone with us, our clients can be sure that their tailor-made holiday is exactly as they want it!

That’s why. :) So in case you want to book flights to New Zealand, you only need to talk to a travel consultant and the perfect vacation package (?) will be tailor made just for you.
